Welcome
Nature’s Healing Herbs products are a unique line of rare, unusual teas with edible tea leaves, Organic Herbal Infusions, and the world’s only line of Green Tea Foods.

I started my business when I realized how confusing it was reading media reports and research articles with conflicting results about what was healthier whether teas, herbs or foods. If you, like me, want to try something new — you want to know what is best for your health, and your body. So who and what do you believe, and what the heck should you do!

So my company was built on the premise that we would inform you, the individual, what our research shows, both pros and cons and supportive studies telling the truth. We also decided to produce our own teas, using organic, fresh tea leaves and herbal flowers, roots and leaves from extremely reliable sources that we feel good about and trust.

I welcome you to our site and hope you enjoy reading and reviewing our products and information pages. Our articles will change periodically, as will our classes and events.

In the future we also will be adding new products.

Take time to un-stress, sit and relax with a beautiful pot of tasty and exciting tea.

Have a great tea day!

A Toast to Your Health, and thank you for your visit,

Cindy

Benefits

Herbs are all natural, not synthetic, and are used more naturally and easily by your body.

Both teas and tinctures are much more easily absorbed with faster results than capsules or tablets.

Herbs may take a little longer to treat your symptoms or other problems, but since they are natural, the results are more permanent and with almost no side effects.

Herbs can bring our body back to the balance needed for healing and prevention of disease.

Herbal medicine can be broad based for overall support and strengths, or for specific problems.

Herbs are system balancers that normalize the body so it can heal and therefore regulate itself.

They work as foundations through the glands which they nourish and support to control or reverse the disease process.

These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. These products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

Why Our Green Tea?

Natures Healing Herbs (NHH) are 95% organic, our company is based in Austin, Texas. Whenever available we use local herbs and flowers from central texas farmers. NHH believes in using sustainable growth plants which ultimately helps our land, earth itself and local farming community businesses.

NHH feels there is good medicine to be found in nature; it is long lasting and aids in healing the spirit.

“We need the tonic of wilderness” says Henry David Thoreau. The ocean the mountain, the deserts…it all contains the “magic” needed to restore joyful radiant energy to our stressed souls.

Herbalism is an effective, natural, and inexpensive system of healing readily available to every human who chooses to use it. In fact the World Health Organization estimates that more than 80 percent of the world’s population still uses herbal medicine as a primary system of healing.

NHH Green teas are from a sustainable organic tea farm, originally these tea plants were ‘The Royal Tea’ only used by the Emperor and his family during the Ming Dynasty (900 AD) in Asia. Our plants can be traced back to the same Royal tea line of Camilla Sinesis; never being hybridized or altered. You are now drinking “Royal Tea’.

Our Green teas are grown at altitudes over 1,000 feet along the coast of China, near the Xiamen region, across from Taiwan. It is a private family farm and we deal directly with the people as a fair-traded tea. They do not use any pesticides or chemicals on their plants. Since 2007 we have been certified organic.

FAQs
Is there caffeine in Green tea?

Yes, there is caffeine but generally it is only 20-40 mgs versus coffee or black tea, which can be 100 mgs or more per cup. The tannins are the chemicals which release the caffeine and gives a bitter taste to the tea. This will get stronger the longer it is brewed, so we recommend two minutes for best results. We also suggest not using boiling water for green teas, but use water in the “pearl stage” as the Chinese do; that is when you see lines of bubbles or pearls coming to top of your water level. That is pouring time, right before it starts to boil! Caffeine in green tea is handled more like a period of slow released stimulation versus like a jolt from coffee! When you brew your cup a second or third time it then becomes a relaxing tea.

What about decaffeinated tea?

The process of decaffeinating tea also removes some of the good benefits and some taste.

Today there have been improvements in processing methods. There still are good benefits to decaffeinated tea. I still recommend drinking the whole plant if possible to get the full benefits.

Do all green teas taste bitter?

Not all teas are bitter; the bitter comes from the tannins released into the hot water. Some teas are processed or fermented or heated to slow the breakdown of chemicals, this is why taste and bitterness varies. Our green tea is not fermented or processed in any way so the bitterness actually is very minimal. Our leaves are processed by hand with no heat, and air-dried for the best preservation.

Where is it grown?

Our Green teas are grown at altitudes over 1,000 feet along the coast of China, near the Xiamen region, across from Taiwan. It is a private family farm and we deal directly with the people as a fair-traded tea. They do not use any pesticides or chemicals on their plants. Since 2007 we have been certified organic.

Third grade black or green teas are what is left on the drying floors after the larger pieces of tea leaves are graded out. In some instances this level is called "dust" - the smallest pieces that are highest in caffeine and lowest in benefits are generally found in commercial tea bags.

Herbal Teas are really root, flower and leaf infusions from plants not in the Cameilla Sinesis family and are naturally caffeine free. Many of these herbs have the ability to lessen or resolve physical or emotional symptoms.

How is our green tea different?

Unlike typical commercial green tea where the leaves and buds are separated and marketed as "white green tea" and "green tea leaves", which result in less flavor, our green teas combine the leaves and buds together for the fullest flavor and the most benefits possible.

How do you brew loose-leaf tea?

Loose-leaf tea or bulk tea needs a container to hold leaves to be steeped. Many people do not strain leaves but leave them in their cups, some to eat the leaves and some to brew again. Many teas can be brewed up to 2-3 times. Some people even read their fortunes in the leaves!

I do recommend using an infuser. There are many kinds available from spoons to cup size. (Please refer to our tea supply page.)

What is the difference between green, black and herbal teas?

All teas — black, brown and green — come from the same plant, Camellia Sinesis, the teas differ because of the way they are processed by use of heat, flavors, drying methods and packaging. There are actually three levels of tea; first grade teas are almost always bulk or loose, usually contain the whole leaf, with minimal processing, and almost never in tea bags. First grade is lower in caffeine but higher in benefits.

Second grade is broken leaf pieces, with more processing, and found in tea bags or loose; generally this is higher in caffeine and still has a good tea to benefit ratio.

Third grade teas are what is left on the drying floors after the larger pieces of tea leaves are graded out. In some instances this level is called “dust” — the smallest pieces that are highest in caffeine and lowest in benefits are generally found in commercial tea bags.

Depending on your taste and preferences enjoy what you like for all tea drinkers are healthier because all teas have varying levels of benefits.

Bio Feedback

Stress Detection for Stress Reduction!

Can children benefit from EPXF Therapy?

The EPFX is an excellent tool for use with children because they often are unable verbally to communicate what is going on inside them. An EPFX session could unearth possibilities such as food intolerance and toxicities which could be then underlying issues surrounding learning disabilities, "acting out" behaviors, and out-of-control emotions.

Stress to our bodies can include many issues besides the everyday stressors.

It could be

  • an infection,
  • an allergy,
  • some trauma,
  • injury whether small or large,
  • aging or memory issues,
  • any pain, inflammation or emotional upsets.

Frequency therapy can relieve many of these stressors.

How about animals/pets?

YES! Animals are unable to communicate with us in the most obvious of ways, although it may be apparent that they are suffering from both physical and psychological problems. Pet owners have seen vast behavioral improvements and increased vitality in their pets following EPFX therapy.

Is Bio Feedback used for stress reduction?

Stress to our bodies can inlcude many issues besides the everyday stressors. It could be an infection, an allergy, a trauma or injury (whether small or large), aging or memory issues, or any pain, inflammation or emotion upset. Frequency therapy can relieve many of these stressors.
